Hi there, I’m Jessie, I’m glad you found your way here.
It takes courage to begin therapy.
Perhaps you’re feeling stuck, undone, overwhelmed, knowing something needs to change but you don’t know how.
Welcome. First of all, you’re not alone. Life is hard and I don’t mean that tritely. It’s hard. Life tends to ebb and flow with some seasons of life that leave us feeling particularly squeezed. Although you may find therapy helpful just because it’s often amidst challenging situations that the need for additional support arises.
My hope is to meet you where you’re at, to come alongside, to create a space relationally and physically where you feel safe and comfortable to begin.
Your goals will be unique to you. Your hopes for therapy will be unique to you. Your timeline, capacity and budget will be unique to you.
Our work will be to figure out together what you hope for and need from counselling.

Fee is $225 for a 50 minute session.

*Most extended health plans cover the services provided by a registered psychologist. National team athletes have access to funding through Game Plan.

My approach
My style is one of holding complexity and honouring depth while also keeping a handle on being practical. My approach is individualized and process oriented, informed by Emotion-Focused Therapy, and guided by two important principles - laying the foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship and then building on it with therapeutic tasks and interventions that draw from a number of modalities.
